Jonathan Bush, NBA star invest in healthcare price transparency startup

Former Athenahealth CEO Jonathan Bush and Golden State Warriors NBA player Klay Thompson recently joined a $5 million investing round for healthcare price transparency startup Turquoise Health.

Turquoise Health said it plans to use the funding to expand operations and product development, according to a July 22 news release. The startup, launched in 2020, works with providers and payers to create price transparency for patients through claims and adjudication on the back end. 

Additional investors for the funding round included Bessemer Venture Partners and Andreessen Horowitz.
